I rode up the alpine loop - provo side - during lunch today and ran into a crew repaving above Sundance. After waiting for a few minutes, the flagman let the line of cars continue on up the road. I only made it about 20 feet before I flipped around to get back on the old pavement. The new asphalt was sticking to my tires.
I love new pavement, but not immediately after it has been put down.

I'm surprised we missed you. Ricky and I were up there during lunch today as well. We made the mistake of riding through. Now I'll have new road gunk on my tires for the rest of the summer.
How long does it take for fresh asphalt to not stick to tires? If Friday is too soon I better go down down the AF side after the morning ride (weather permitting).
Tell those guys to hit Payson Canyon next. The bottom section needs some love.
